ANGER MANAGEMENT – Starfish Mediation & Anger Management Training
AIM
The aim of this course is to give participants the skills and knowledge they need to deal effectively with feelings of anger. A further benefit of this course is the sharing and support they receive from fellow group members. The course is designed to be non-confrontational, supportive, and educational.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:
identify factors that trigger an angry response;
identify cost of inappropriate outbursts of anger;
identify their preferred method for resolving conflict;
use the skills of Collaboration in a conflict situation
use listening skills and ‘I’ messages;
employ a variety of strategies for remaining calm.
